Technogel®: What is it and what is it good for?
Technogel® revolutionized the sleep sector in 2008 with the introduction of gel: As an innovative and pollutant-free material, it improves the quality of sleep without restricting freedom of movement and lying comfort. This is because it is dense and therefore contains no air. This property in turn enables Technogel® to adapt its shape three-dimensionally in all directions, which ensures weightless yet stable lying comfort: the even distribution of pressure over the entire surface reduces the pressure points of particularly stressed pressure points.
And because the gel contains no air, it absorbs heat and transports it away, which is particularly important when falling asleep, as the body needs to be able to dissipate excess heat. Foams, on the other hand, reflect body heat, which leads to increased sweating during sleep.
In addition, a laboratory study conducted by the University of Basel in cooperation with the University of Turin shows that Technogel® prolongs deep sleep phases by a whopping 15 percent. Ideal if you want your body and mind to recover in equal measure.
