From wainwright and joinery to specialist bed store
The roots of our specialist bed store Schlafpunkt go back to 1895: at that time, the family business consisted of a wainwright’s and carpenter’s workshop and was called “Brütsch am Wasser”. The family name and the location in Kleinandelfingen directly on the Thur gave the company its name.
The family business started in 1984 with the successful sale of beds, mattresses and other sleeping accessories. This was followed in 2000 by the opening of the first store in Winterthur.
With the name change to “Schlafpunkt” in 2014 and the takeover by Jens Mayer and Sieglinde Brütsch, the company started a new chapter. At the same time, the business remained in the family.
In 2016, Schlafpunkt opened a larger location in Oberwinterthur / Neuhegi and offers the largest Schramm range in the whole of Switzerland.
